Altar servers serve as a liturgical ministry at St. Margaret’s of Scotland Catholic Church. An altar server can be any male or female who has received first communion. They prepare the altar for the celebration of the mass and assist the Presider during the liturgy.
Weekend Mass Set-up
Prepare the Altar after the Intercessions
Step 1: Place the corporal on the center of the altar. Step 2: Place the Roman Missal on the center of the corporal lined up on the edge of the altar. Step 3: Place the chalice above the Roman Missal to the left. Step 4. Place the purificator to the right of the Roman Missal. |

Step 5: Go to the center aisle to receive the gifts with the priest. Step 6: The priest will take the bread and server takes the wine. Step 7: Bring both water and wine to the priest at the altar. |

Step 8: Bring water, bowl, and towel to priest at altar for washing of hands. |
