About Religious Education
About the Religious Education Program

All children of our parish families who are in grades Kindergarten through 8, attending public, charter, or non-Catholic private schools should be participating in the parish Religious Education program. Parents can choose to enroll their children for either Sunday morning or Tuesday evening classes. Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 9:00 am to 10:20 am, dismissing just in time to attend the 10:30 am Mass. Tuesday evening classes are held from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. All RE classes are held in Christ the Teacher School, located right next to the parish. Ninth grade RE classes are held only on Sunday mornings in the parish center, also from 9:00 am until after the 10:30 Mass. Families with students enrolled in RE classes also must be registered members of St. Margaret of Scotland parish.

Sacrament Formation

Children who are enrolling for Reconciliation & First Eucharist formation, or for Confirmation formation need also to be enrolled in and attending either weekly RE classes or a Catholic school. Sacrament formation classes are separate from Religious Education classes. Families with students enrolled in Sacrament formation classes also must be registered members of St. Margaret of Scotland parish.

Please contact the Religious Education office at 302.834.0225 ext. 103, or e-mail Madeline Romano at if you have any questions or need further information.

Adult Faith Formation is offered through weekly Scripture studies, periodic parish missions, frequent workshops, and various lectures. Please contact the Parish office at 302.834.0225, or e-mail if you would like more information.

Those interested in joining the Catholic Church by converting to Catholicism are encouraged to contact our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) team, listed on our ministries page.
